3,000 Ancient Buddhas Unearthed in China.
According to carving styles and inscribed dates they are mainly assigned to Eastern Wei and Northern Qi dynasties. Several of them are from the Northern Wei period or Tang Dynasties. The yields are rated as one of the most important discoveries in Chinese Buddhist archaeology. They are of great academic, artistic and historic value.
